NIKE, Inc. (NYSE: NKE) announced on Oct 29th that they are selling Hurley to Bluestar Alliance LLC.  The transaction is expected to be complete in December.

How will the sale of Hurley affect surf retailers? Hurley pays for space in several surf shops to showcase the brand. Will Bluestar Alliance LLC keep these spaces or will they close them? How would that affect the retailers? Is it possible that retailers may close is they loose that chunk of change?

What about the team? Will riders be dropped? Who?
